Ten steps for cultivating mindfulness, peace of mind and body.
The beauty and attraction of Zen is that it lives comfortably with all religions.
While one cannot be a Christian and a Jew at the same time, nor a Muslem and a Hindu or a Christian at once. Even within religion one is either Catholic or Protestant , Shiite or Sunni. One can comfortably practice Zen and whatever religion one pleases at the same time.
We have summarised 10 guiding steps, largely based on the principals of Zen which we have found to be helpful in developing internal balance.
We recommend adopting these steps in the many different situations you encounter as you navigate through life's ups and downs.
1. WAKE UP AND BE AWARE.
2. SEEK SIMPLICITYAND ACCEPT WHAT YOU SEE.
3. BE NON JUDGEMENTAL AND BALANCED.
4. LEARN FROM THE PAST BUT FOCUS ON THE PRESENT MOMENT.
5. UPHOLD FREEDOM AND TOLERANCE.
6. SHOW COMPASSION AND RESPECT FOR ALL.
7. BE DECISIVE AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY .
8. BE POSITIVE AND BEHAVE ETHICALLY
9. PERSEVERE AND NEVER GIVE UP.
